The course did stretch me and I learnt a lot from it. One of the big advantages was to be able to do it at my own pace. I also ended up getting the certificate which was a BIG plus in getting my position at one of the local Gymnazium's in Olomouc. The course also helped me to get material together which I could refer to later on. I'm in a great job. I love it! I'm working on a more conversational level as opposed to being a more traditional teacher, but it suits my gifts and abilities.

This online TEFL course has been perfect for me due to my current schedule and commitments. I am currently finishing my courses at College and working nearly full-time, so I do not have the time to be able to attend the onsite course in Prague. I was referred to this program by a friend, and I do not regret signing up for the program at all! It has helped me learn the in and outs of teaching English as a foreign language, and I am excited to see how this course will help me in my future travels around the world. I had been planning to join some online TEFL /TESOL course for the last two years. But I was unable to take any decision. Time passed by surfing through the websites of various institutes and interacting with them through e-mails. Then I chalked out a list of these institutes with their meritorious services and what they have to offer. Ultimately ITTP scored the highest rank.
But still I was reluctant and had my own fears. I contacted their office through e-mails. While I was in the process of enquiry, I found the administration staff very quick in responding to queries on the phone or otherwise.
The modules are so well designed and defined that one needs the least external help to write the Final Tasks at the end of each module. My tutor, who seems to have substantial teaching experience is very quick in replying back to my queries and in sending the approval of the Final Tasks which I have been sending to her. At ITTP, they know the value of time. And also, I got value for my money. I am very much convinced that I am in good and experienced hands. They have not made any tall claims in their website, and have mentioned the facts and truth only.
Now I have no regrets. I realize that it was INDEED a right decision to join ITTP for my course.

I made the decision to get my TEFL certification after having completed a BA in Cultural Studies and a MA in International Politics. While earning my MA abroad in the Republic of Ireland I was able to immerse myself in Irish culture in a different way than I had in the semester abroad during my undergrad. My experience reignited my interest in living abroad. Because I was not ready to continue my studies to a PhD level I began to look into my other options that would allow me to stay abroad. TEFL became a natural choice.
In my research of TEFL organizations I found a
dizzying amount of options. Unfortunately the majority
of the organizations that I found were expensive,
time-consuming and faraway. While I loved the idea of
traveling again, my finances and large student debt
would not support a $3,000+ program. Luckily I was
able to find ITTP. ITTP's online program seemed
too good to be true. Not only could I work at my own
pace, and complete the program from the comfort of my
own home (while working during the day to earn some
more money), I also wouldn't have to pay a huge amount
of money. It was perfect for me.
I completed ITTP's program after four weeks of structured and individually paced work. During my course I was able to work on my own schedule and complete lessons at anytime during the day. I also received constant feedback and always felt that I could get all of my questions answered quickly. Upon completing my TEFL certification I began to look into teaching positions abroad.
I eventually settled on a position in Beijing, China. While in China I was teaching along side other teachers who had spent up to 5,000 GBP on CELTA certifications and some who had TEFL degrees. My ITTP qualification was completely adequate and I always felt that I had made a great choice in ITTP. During my teaching experience in China I was able to teach a variety of classes in both a public school and a private English school. I enjoyed my classes immensely, despite their large size (around 50 students in each) and inconsistent resources. I primarily taught elementary beginner 5-6 year olds and pre-intermediate 10-11 year olds. During my time in China I was able to learn more about Chinese culture and Chinese life than I ever could during a short holiday vacation.
Shortly after finishing in China I accepted a position
in Northern Poland. I have been teaching in Poland
since the beginning of the year, and already I have
had a very different and fulfilling experience. My
English classes in Poland are primarily focused on
Intermediate level adults, which has been a completely
different challenge than teaching 50 kindergartners -
but one that I have felt prepared to take on. My
certification has shown to be well-worth the cost, as
I once again am working along side 13+ CELTA certified
teachers without a problem.
While I am unsure where my experiences in TEFL will take me next, I am completely satisfied with my choices thus far. I couldn't be happier with my choice to get my certification with ITTP, and I hope you have the same wonderful experience. Good luck in your future TEFL career. Enjoy!

I have gained valuable experience in teaching the demographic that I am looking at for my career – Teenagers. With the guidance and support I have been given, I now feel much more confident about not only being able to teach but also about efficiently managing both my time and my class. I was originally hesitant about which ITTP course was going to be right for me and I seriously took on the idea of taking the onsite in Prague. I think I would have enjoyed training in Prague but taking the online and gaining the teaching practice through the ITTP program has given me all the skills I would have acquired on the onsite course and hasn’t burnt a big gap in my finances - I would definitely recommend the ITTP online course option and just 3 weeks after sending in my last module I booked my ticket to Prague where I have my first paid teaching job already lined up.

This course has done so much to de-mystify the teaching process. I now feel so much more confident going into the classroom with a trusted methodology behind me. By breaking the teaching process down into logical stages and techniques I feel that I will be more than capable of effectively teaching English at a wide variety of levels. It has been most encouraging to discover that, for the most part, there is no definitive way to teach English. Each teacher and every student has different approaches and abilities, and the key seems to be finding out what works best personally, and what is most suitable for the student’s/learner’s individual needs.

There are a number of things that I value greatly after taking the course and one is how I perceive my teaching ability now compared to when I began the course. It was difficult for me to imagine myself as a teacher back then but now I feel that I am doing a very good job as a teacher. I was looking for a way to escape the rat-race of London and this course has worked wonderfully as a way of being able to travel worldwide and earn money. It has been a tough course and I have had to brush up on grammar which I learnt years ago but with the encouraging feedback of my tutor and the very impressive admin support I have made it.
